Joanne Luke
Jo has been on the Margaret Tucker Hostel Management Committee since 2006, and has been its Secretary since 2012.
She is an Aboriginal woman who identifies with her families Alyawarr country in Central Australia, but has lived and worked her whole life in Melbourne.
Jo currently works as a researcher and evaluator, and has experience working in both the Aboriginal community controlled sector as well as the university sector.
She is inspired by Aunty Marg Tuckers’ legacy for equity and compassion and recognises the important collective work of Aboriginal women in continuing this legacy at Margaret Tucker Hostel.
